You are allowed to have up to a 1-hour clash per trimester. If you are wanting to stay enrolled in your selected papers you are welcome to manage the clash.

If you do this we recommend getting in touch with your lecturers at the start of trimester to let them know you will be managing a clash so they can provide extra support if needed.

Some classes are filmed on Panopto and made available through Moodle so you may wish to check if that will be the case for either of your clashing papers.

Timetable clashes of more than 1 hour per week should be avoided, as they mean you'll miss out on important learnings for one or more of your papers. If you have a timetable clash, use the online timetable to see class times for each of your papers. You can also view this in MyWaikato > Timetable and will be warned when making paper selections that a clash exists before you submit your paper selections. Here are some possible solutions if you have a clash:

- If two of your papers are available in multiple semesters, can you swap them to avoid the clash?

- Can you take a different paper this year, and one of the clashing papers next year instead?

- Can you change one of your papers to something similar?

If you've decided how to resolve your clash, go to Qualifications and Papers in MyWaikato to add and remove your papers.

If you need help resolving your timetable clash, contact your Faculty or Division or talk to the Student Centre by logging an enquiry, or by calling 0800 WAIKATO (0800 924 528) or +64 7 838 4610 from overseas.
